McKensie's Bridal Session

First of all McKensie is AMAZING to photograph! She gave so much!! This girl is FIERCE!! And I love her for it! I look at the poses I captured and I am floored by the magic in each image!

Posing can be very challenging. Before I started my journey in photography, I never knew what to do with my hands. Or how I should tilt my head. Or how to stand without looking like I didn't know what I was doing. If this is you, I know exactly how you feel!

I have worked long and hard to provide my clients with the best sessions possible. Through my training I have learned how to expertly pose my clients to create truly stunning images.

Here are 5 secrets to have a great session together:

5 KEYS TO GREAT POSES

  1. Be Genuine - the best thing you can bring to any photo session is your authenticity! There are things that are uniquely YOU and that's what we want to capture! There is no other you out there, so shine bright and let us take care of the rest!

  2. Embrace the Awkward - We know sometimes that the poses we ask you to do feel awkward. The funny thing is they never come across that way in the final image! The first 15 minutes, we ask you to embrace the awkward and roll with us as we figure out what works the best for you personally. We are expertly trained to make sure we capture the best of you! We will make sure you're comfortable and confident in your sessions with us and will love the final product!

  3. Be Open to Challenging Yourself - We always make sure to get the "must-have" shots of any session first. After that, it is time to play! This is where the magic happens and oftentimes, my favorite moments from our time together come from this part of the session because we get to be creative and try new things. We ask for your trust and to be willing to try things outside of your comfort zone to get those truly stunning moments! I promise it's worth it!

  4. Live in the Moment - One of the things we love most about photography is capturing special moments that will last a lifetime. That requires work on both of our parts! As a photographer, it is our job to provide you with a seamless experience and a safe space to enjoy. As a client, it is your job to embrace the moments! We never get moments back, so we ask you to embrace the emotions and let us do the rest!

  5. Have Fun! - This is the most important aspect of all. I promise that as you allow yourself to embrace the moments and have fun, you will get images you truly love! How you feel in your session will directly translate to the final image. Laugh, be goofy, and relax!
